Even while some of us are still relishing the recent memories of Christmas, Time gave birth to a new year. It is not easy to quickly forget the reunions, gifts and food. (I had too much to eat).It was a refreshing period-a chance to break away from our programmed existence and relax. Christmas is actually my favorite part of the year. (No, it is not because of the food). It is because I am usually filled with an inexplicable joy at the time.
Well, it is gone now, until…
Now is the time of renewal. It is the time of dreaming and making promises-mainly to ourselves. It is a time for re-articulating our aspirations. It is resolutions galore! Some opine that the process of making resolutions for the year is superfluous, and that it is only a question of time, before we break those promises, anyway.
What do you think?
I believe strongly in making resolutions (even when I do not always achieve all).I believe in planning, since I achieve more when I plan. So, what do you hope to achieve this year?
Or more importantly, who do you want to become? A dark, mediocre being or a light, powerful masterpiece. You can be a masterpiece. You can be the best you can be. That is probably the most wonderful way to offer true gratitude to the giver of life.
January is a nice time to be born anew. It is a wonderful time to soar.Really, tomorrow, or the month of September or even today…is the best time for you to spread your wings and…

A tale of two Websites
I spend a lot of time online-working. I discovered a wonderful website late last month, and another one about a fortnight ago. I will mention the name of the latter, later.
Let me cut to the chase: I did something stupid-I failed to spend enough time on reading the rules and guidelines. I was in a hurry to start making money, seeing as I have started making money from one of my blogs.
The first website banned my a## .What about the second website? The editors wrote me, explaining my mistakes and telling me how to correct them.Essentially, the same infraction, yet different responses. You decide the right one.
The first website banned me forever! I am writing my second article for the other website-Ezinearticles.One of the largest and most respected article directory on the web.
Through my articles, I will be able to reach out and impact myriads, thus providing them with vital information that can improve the quality of their lives.
This post is not really about rules, infractions or article writing. For me, it is about the power of forgiveness! I am not going to insult you by going into details, seeing as you are not my 8 year old son.
In the embrace of consumerism, it is easy to forget that the birth of the Messiah is an act of love, and a powerful reflection of forgiveness on the part of the Creator. We will truly celebrate Christmas, when we live in harmony with that love, and his will.
Rachel, please can I have more Chicken?
Merry Christmas.

The beauty of ignorance
I ought to rewrite the title. I meant the consciousness of one’s ignorance.
What happens when we know, or think we know? At times, we become full of ourselves, closing ourselves to the light-the animating power of new knowledge.
It might be true that knowledge is power. I believe ignorance can be the fuel for growth. In a sense, our knowledge is provisional. That is why a lot of theories get discarded. This dynamism is inevitable, because true seekers know that knowledge is infinite.
The dynamism and magnitude of knowledge, are pointers to the fact that humility is one of the key virtues of the truly wise. Why? Based on what tomorrow will bring, we may have to add or subtract from what we celebrated as Gospel truth yesterday. At times, we have to completely cast it away.
Thus, it is vital to be constantly aware of how little we really know, and to remain in perpetual hunger, because our growth is inextricably tied to our awareness of our ignorance.
